I AM ADDICTED!!!

So I started reading the twilight series last Sunday and I just finished the third book today! I AM HOOKED! I have been wanting to read them for a while but kept putting it off and now I am wondering what in the world was I thinking. First of all, you should know I am not a reader. I have tried to get into books in the past and never really succeeded but goodness, these books are amazing! I couldn't stop. I would finish one and then jump right into the next - it was crazy! Pretty much my house, laundry, cooking etc. went right out the window for the week. Most of you that have read these books probably know exactly what I am talking about but for me with reading, this was a first! Now, I am dying for the fourth one to come out so for that reason I guess I am glad that I just finished and don't have to wait as long as some of you have. I told Nate tonight that I am really sad that I'm finished and that I don't have more of it to read (he has thought I have lost it this week I'm sure). All I can say is that she better end up with Edward in the end or I am going to be very upset! I love him and I told Nate that his new name is Edward! ;)

Anyway, just thought I would share that info with you all and if you haven't read them - DO IT!!! I will be posting our Easter pics tomorrow - like I said, I have been gone from the world this last week.

Oh yeah...............99 DAYS LEFT!!!

Oh my gads, I didn't even notice that until my friend Lish left me a comment about it but heck yeah, no more triple digits baby! Yes, I am counting down the days because not only am I excited to see this little guy but I HATE BEING PREGNANT! Don't get me wrong, I am so so so grateful that I am able to get pregnant and I know there are so many people that aren't able to but man, I don't enjoy it. So, please don't think I am being ungrateful for my blessings, I'm just not one of those women that think this is a magical time!! Anyways, cheers to 99 days and let's just pray that they go by fast and that my butt doesn't get much bigger!

Viva Las Vegas!!!

We got back last night from a weekend in Vegas! We went down with Nate's sister Angie and her hubby and kids. His little brother Dan and his wife Britt live in St. George so of course they came too. We left early Thursday morning and we really lucked out with the dates we picked because the weather was perfect! We decided to rent a house so that we could all stay together and also not have to eat out every meal. The house that we rented was amazing and we had our own pool and hot tub which the kids absolutely loved! We hit the strip every day and we were able to see a lot of stuff in the short time we were there. (Thank goodness Dax isn't old enough to know what all the cruddy stuff is all about!) It was definitely a family oriented Las Vegas trip but there is so much for kids to do down there, we didn't even get to fit it all in! Anyway, here are some of the pics from our weekend getaway!

The rain forest cafe! Dax and his cousins - Lexi, Brock, Jace, Tyce & his Uncle Casey!

The lion exhibit at MGM Grand! This was really neat to see!

The M&M Factory!

Lexi & Dax on a ride at Circus Circus Adventuredome.

This was his favorite ride. I think he went on it five or six times!

All the cousins on the same ride! (And three other random kids)

Daxton LOVES pirates and skeletons right now but for some reason this one made him a little nervous. We took the funniest pic of him standing by this by himself and he is freaking out but it didn't turn out!

The Treasure Island pirate show! This pic is hideous but cut me some slack, it had been a long day! This show is nothing what it used to be! They should say you have to be 18 or older to watch it because it's pretty much a show with a bunch of half naked ladies dancing around. Pretty sure the guys all enjoyed it! ;) Dax liked it though because of the pirates so whatever.

Random Stuff

I had a bunch of random pics that I have taken lately but haven't posted so I thought that I would finally do that!

Nate's sister (Angie) gave us a bunch of her boys clothes that they have outgrown and this spider man outfit was with it. Needless to say, this is all he wants to wear now and he even has us tape down his fingers so he can shoot out the web!

So this is what happens when you give your kid a mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwich! Thank goodness he was in the highchair!

This was our garage kitty that we had for about two weeks. Dax named her Bessie (from Cars). We had to get rid of her because one, she scratched like crazy and two, she kept pooping on the garage stairs so goodbye kitty. Not to sound heartless but I can't handle cat poop on the stairs!

Dax sledding with his cousins (Allie & Easton)!

Dax and Papa (my dad) on the snowmobile!

Dax and Grandma (my mom) sledding!

My mom rockin guitar hero! She loves it, and when she plays it she won't put it down for hours. So funny!

Big boy bed! We got him a bed about two months ago. Some of you may be thinking that we kept him in his crib for a long time but for those of you who know him and know how hyper he is can understand why!

He found this stethoscope in the basement and loves it! He loves listening to his heart and tries to hear the baby in my tummy!

So, basically I stole this from Katie's blog but it was so cute I couldn't resist! We played games at their house a couple weeks ago and put Dax down to sleep there so we could stay late. They did this on their own and I'm so glad we got a pic of it. Dax loves hanging out with her kids and it will be fun to have this pic for Daxton and Emory's wedding video! ;)

I will post pics of myself as soon as I have a significant bump that you can see. Right now I just look like I need to do some sit ups or something, it's very attractive!!

check out my new song

So yes, I added a Miley Cyrus song to my blog and I know I don't have any daughters but there is a funny story that goes with it. The other day, Nate came home and told me he had just heard a really good song by some chick so he waited for the song to end to find out who it was and the guy said "that was Miley Cyrus' new song - see you again." This isn't the first time this has happened. When I was pregnant with Dax, The Backstreet Boys had their single "Incomplete" come out and we were in the car one day when it came on. He said, "I love this song - do you know who sings it?" Well, after hours of teasing, I went to work and told the girls in my office about it (I'm so mean) and for the next week, every time he would call me they would pick up the phone and start singing that to him. This is why I love my husband - he is freakin funny (and mostly when he doesn't mean to be). Looks are gonna fade but when I am seventy years old he will still be entertaining me! (and yes, we will make it to seventy despite our previous record! ;)

I've got to give him some credit though, it is a good song!

Pictures Of Our Baby (Sort of!)

We had our targeted ultra sound today and I am so happy to say that everything looks good and he seems to be one healthy little guy. I don't know why, but I was really nervous this time. With Dax, I didn't think anything of it but for the past couple of weeks I have been dreading this ultra sound and the fact that I was so worried about it made it even worse. Anyway, it was good news all around so that made my day. And, we even got some shots of his face which was fun to see (Dax would never let us get a look, he always had his hand up by his face). My sister says she hates the 4D pics because she thinks the babies look like burn victims and I've got to agree with her. They kind of are scary but hey, at least you get to see the outlining of their face. Anyway, here they are.

Definately a boy!

Also, thank you Katie for watching Dax - you're the best!!!
