Randomness

It has been a while since I posted an update of Talan and of our family. I can't believe it has already been five weeks since he was born, that is crazy! It has been so fun having a newborn around again but part of me wants him to get big so that he can defend himself against Dax. Man, he was doing really well in the beginning but now he is pretty much just hateful. On Saturday I had put Talan in his swing and was changing the laundry when all of the sudden he started screaming. I ran out to check on him and Daxton was standing to the side of the swing with that I did it look on his face. I asked him what had happened and he told me that he had bit Talan! At least he was honest right? Anyway, poor Talan - it's pretty much smother fest all day for him.
This summer is cruising by! We have been able to do some fun things but with Nate's job and how crazy busy he is, it's kind of limited. Here are a few random pics - nothing special, and no - I am not in them. I am still hideous and might be forever (that's what I feel like) so who knows if I'll ever be in pics again! :)

Talans blessing is this Sunday so I am trying to get some things done around the house for that, not successfully by the way. Seriously people, how do all of you get so much done throughout the day? I feel like I don't stop all day but have nothing to show for it. And, Breaking Dawn (fourth Twilight book) comes out Saturday so it's going to get REALLY bad for a couple days. I don't care, I am so stinkin excited! I went to Hastings today to reserve a copy and I WILL be there at midnight to get it! :)

4th of July

We had a great 4th! However, I have decided that this is going to be my last summer baby! You can't go swimming for six weeks plus you get to spend the rest of the summer getting your baby weight off, not fun! Anyway, we spent the 4th with family of course. During the day we went up to Nate's parents house and went swimming and had a BBQ. That night we went to the fireworks in Brigham with my Mom & Dad and my sister and her family! After the fireworks, we went out to Nicole's house and had our own firework show. I love the 4th of July and we usually spend the holiday camping but it didn't work out this year. I love spending time with our families and that's exactly what we did!

Talan & Kate

So, yeah! This is what I meant by him being accident prone. He was jumping on the tramp with his cousins and fell off onto the sidewalk. I was nursing in the other room when it happened and all I could hear was everybody freaking out. The goose egg on his head stuck out like an inch, it was hideous. I don't know how it didn't split open but we were lucky. Poor kid, people probably think he gets beat!

Daxton is 3!

So, Talan was born on the 19th and then Daxtons birthday was on the 23rd! Poor guy, what was I thinking when we got pregnant? At least they don't have to share birthdays right? I tried to get everything done before we went to the hospital but it still was a crazy day and Dax probably felt like his thunder was being stolen. I can't believe our little man is three! It seems like yesterday that I was doing the newborn thing with him - I hate how fast this is going. Daxton is such a joy in our lives and here are some fun little facts about him:

- He LOVES motorcycles!
- His favorite thing to do right now is play with other kids. Of course that's every kids but I mean it, every second of every day - he never gets sick of it.
- At least five times a day he will say, "I love you mommy!" for no reason.
- His favorite thing to say to Nate is, "You're my best pal ever dad!" He got that from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!
- His favorite movie right now is the Chipmunk Movie is Grandma and Papa gave him for his bday!
- He is pretty athletic which makes his dad ecstatic! He loves every sport but right now his favorite is baseball, which he really his good at.
- He LOVES his cousins! If he could play with his cousins every day, it still would not be enough.
- His favorite food is anything unhealthy! Not really but he loves his sweets. He actually loves broccoli (tree tops) and corn so I can't complain!
- He adores his dad and wants to do whatever Nate is doing. He has to go where ever Nate is going.
- He is going to be our accident prone child (see next post). He has no fear of tricks or falling and this summer has already been a doozy!
- He is freakin hilarious and has been since the day he was born! He loves to entertain the crowd! Hmmmm, wonder where he got that from?
- He has a sweet heart! (even though he is going through a nasty stage) He gets so worried when someone is crying and tries everything to make them feel better.

I could go on forever but that might be boring! Anyway, I hope he had a good birthday and if not, I will make up for it next year. Nates bday was on the 14th (June is craziness for us) so we did a lot of fun stuff that Daxton loves to do to make up for it in advance.

WE ARE ALIVE!!!

It has been forever since I posted last and I have wanted to get some updated pics of Talan on here but I have been so tired and honestly, I am still trying to figure out how this two kid thing works! I am trying to get a routine going but it's moving very slowly. Anyway, we are doing very well and Talan is already getting bigger :(! He is a sweetie and I seriously can't stop kissing him! Dax is so cute with him and he can't stop kissing him either. Every time he sees him he says, "oh, he's so cute!". This whole experience has been so different from Daxtons and besides the fact that I am sleep deprived, things are going really well. By the way, I have so much respect for all of you that have two or more kids! How you get anything done is amazing to me and I'm hoping that I will be there someday.

He had jaundice in the hospital so they sent us home with the tanning bed. He only had to stay under the lights for one day which was great because I hated having him in that thing.

His first bath (well sort of)! He loves to have his head rinsed but that's about it, he screams through the rest of it. I don't blame him, it's probably freezing!
